Hundreds of independent retailers from across the country came to Austin, Texas for the The Running Event (TRE), the largest conference and expo for specialty running retailers.
TRE took place at the the Hilton Convention Center in the heart of downtown Austin. Many came to learn how they could take their specialty running stores to the next level and at the same time, find the brands that would help them get there.
With information from Gene Marks on how the deficit and debt will effect the industry to tips from Bon Negen about how to get the most out of your marketing dollars, attendees received advice that will set them on the right track as they plan for 2012.
The expo floor opened up on Thursday with all of the big brands, including reigning champ Brooks Running. We were able to catch up with Balega, Gore Running, Saucony, K-Swiss, New Balance, Soleus, and Brooks Running to find out about what they would be releasing in 2012. From the looks of things, retailers will have plenty of eye candy that their customers will be highly anticipating.
