I’m signed up for the Rock N Roll Full Marathon in New Orleans on March 04. Following my last marathon, I’m not sure I am where I need to be. I am considering just doing the half. I won’t make that decision until the night of the expo, so I am training like I am running the full.
I plan on using a training plan from Hal Higdon for multiple marathons(His Plan) that I adapted to fit my needs. My plan is below.

Today’s run called for 3 miles. Today’s weather forecast called for 3 inches.(Or something like that, it sounded good) So I cut out of work at 2:30 p.m. to get in my run. As soon as I got in my running clothes, I stepped outside and it started storming. I hesitated for a second, and then I set out.
If you’ve never run in the rain, I highly recommend it. A day like today wasn’t cold, wasn’t dark, and there was no thunder or lightning. Just me, the road, and the weather. It was the best 3 mile run I had in a long time. I loved jumping in puddles! I loved everyone driving by looking at me like I was crazy! I loved just acting crazy running in the rain!
Following a great run last night at Happy’s, these were the exactly the two runs I needed to get re-energized for the RNR race just 6 weeks away.
