On Saturday, April 21st, runners gathered at Audubon Park in New Orleans for the 25th Annual Tiger Run 5k. Just hours before the race, severe thunderstorms and rain pours affected the area. Thankfully, the weather cleared and the race went on.
The 25th Annual LSU School of Medicine 5K Tiger Run sponsored by Student Government Association. Proceeds from Tiger Run directly supports the LSU Student-Run Homeless Clinics, which have been in operation for over 18 years, as well as several student-organized charitable and health promotion projects.
The 5k course allowed runners to run under the beautiful trees in Audubon park. The first place male finisher was Rich Bouckaert with a time of 16:28. The first place female finisher was Kate Accardo with a time of 19:08.
