On Saturday, July 28th the Hot Pursuit 5K was held in Shreveport. Over 300 runners turned out on the hot and humid day to run. The race started by the riverfront in downtown Shreveport and featured a mostly flat, out and back course on the north bound lane of the Clyde Fant Parkway. The race featured a 1/2 mile fun run at 7:30 followed by the 5K at 8:00.
After the race, there was food, drinks, and music. Some runners went to the nearby fountains to cool off after the hot run. Gift cards to the Nike Outlet Store were given to first, second, and third place finishers (male and female) and medals were given to top two in each age group.
