Glow in the dark race anyone? The second annual Light Up the Night 5k took place in Downtown Baton Rouge over the weekend with tons of runners inspired to show how much they love the 80s. Neon shades, glow sticks, and other accessories were all common on this particular night.
Over 400 runners would be taking on the relatively flat 5k course in the downtown area. The race kicked off at 7:45p, but runners still had to fight through the humidity. A lot of community support for this race including some of the awesome ladies from Black Girls Run!
As runners began to come in, great tunes were provided at the finish line that funneled everyone into the after party.
The 1st place finisher overall was Andrew Maile with a time of 16:27.
