Saturday evening brought the longest running 5k in the city of Baton Rouge, the Twilight Classic.
The race took place in the downtown area, right in front of the River Center. The weather that evening was more tolerable than days prior with temperatures in the low 80s
Hundreds of runners headed to the start of the 5k course, which lead them down Nicholson and back up River Rd. The finish was on top of the levee setting a beautiful background with the bridge and USS KIDD in the background.
Stand out performances came from Jonathan Thomas with a time of 15:44. Katara Rosby was the first female with a time of 20:15.
