Here’s a video recap of our most recent stop on the 2012 Run Louisiana Tour at the inaugural Ochsner Saints Back to Football 5k in New Orleans, LA.
This past weekend, a reported 4,157 runners arrived in Champions Square for the inaugural Ochsner Saints Back to Football 5k. This large turnout was the biggest of the previous races in the Back to Football series in Tennessee, San Diego, and St. Louis. Being the first race of it’s kind only added to the excitement of the participants.
The start of the race was just outside the Mercedes Superdome with an exciting finish on the 50 yard line. The biggest highlight of the race had to be the excitement on participants faces as they ran across the finish on the 50 yard line of the Superdome.
Alex Lorio was the first overall finisher with a time of 17:41. Leah Mysock was the first female finisher with a time of 19:49.
