Here’s a video recap of our most recent stop on the 2012 Run Louisiana Tour at the Komen Race for the Cure 5k New Orleans in New Orleans, LA.

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is one of the most well-known organizations in the world. Since the 80s, they’ve been committed to research and fitting breast cancer. This past weekend in New Orleans, over 15,000 came out to support the Komen New Orleans Race for the Cure 5k.

The race took place in City Park of New Orleans as runners and walkers cover in pink took over the streets. One of the highlights from the evening had to be when the breast cancer survivors would begin to cross the finish line.

Ken Mire was the first finisher overall with a time of 19:23. Elizabeth Kelly was the first female finisher overall with a time of 20:08.

Join us as we continue on the Road to Run Louisiana Day at our next tour stop in Baton Rouge for the Mockler Beverage Oktoberfest 5k.
