Here’s a recap of our most recent stop on the 2012 Run Louisiana Tour at the Mockler Beverage Company Oktoberfest 5k in New Orleans, LA.
The Oktoberfest 5k is one of the favorites when it comes to local races. This past weekend in Baton Rouge, more than 400 participants made their way to the Mockler Beverage Company campus in costumes and ready for the best post race beer offered.
The race allows participants to tour the facilities of the Mockler Company campus. There is a huge warehouse around back that houses the beer and other beverages that runners get to run through. Plenty of cool costumes were scene including a participant in an all pink vintage suit.
One of the highlights from the evening had to be the post race beer offered. The runners get a mix of local beer like Tin Roof and some of the bigger companies like Michelob Ultra.
Max Miller was the first place finisher overall with a time of 15:16. Rosalie Teeuwen was the first female finisher with a time of 18:06.
