How long have you been running?
I’ve been running for just about 3 years now and loving it.
What inspired you to start running?
After breaking a bone in my face playing rugby I had 6 months that I couldn’t play and needed
something to keep me inspired to workout so on a whim I signed up for the Chicago Hot Chocolate 15K knowing that at the end of the race was all you can eat chocolate. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed the training and then had a fun time in the race. After another rugby injury, broken foot, I found myself missing running and decided that once it was healed I wanted to do a marathon.
What are you favorite shoes to run in?
Nike Free Runs
What race is on your bucket list?
NYC and SF marathons
How do you share your passion for running with others?
I recommend Fleet Feet clinics and Chicago Endurance Sports to anyone thinking of starting to run.
What’s your biggest achievement?
Running my first marathon under my 4 hour goal.
If you could run with anyone, who would it be and why?
Dean Karnazes. His book 50/50 hada lot of great running tips.
How will you Claim Your Journey in 2013?
In 2013 I plan on running a 1/2 Marathon, a Tough Mudder, and doing my first Olympic distance Triathlon. 2014 Back to the marathon.
