Founder
Brandon Williams - Brandon Williams is the founder of Claim Your Journey, an award-winning site and one of the most popular destinations for running and wellness in Louisiana. Brandon founded Claim Your Journey in 2011 as a personal blog about training and participating in the Forge Trail Series. Since then, Claim Your Journey has grown quickly and influenced the local community. Brandon is based in Baton Rouge and divides his time across the state of Louisiana.

Rivers Hughey - Rivers Hughey is the Online Editor for Claim Your Journey. She is in charge of organizing editorial schedules and editing news coverage. Prior to writing for Claim Your Journey, Rivers wrote a blog documenting her ascent into running, including her half and ultra marathon training. She also writes a weekly running blog for Nola.com. She is a 2010 graduate of Mississippi State University.

Whitney Mitchell - Whitney Mitchell is a New Orleans contributor, by way of Staten Island, New York. While covering various races in the greater New Orleans area, her main hours of operation are used to serve the Louisiana community as Community Investment Executive with the New Orleans Hornets. Jenny Norris – Jenny Norris is a swimmer, turned runner, turned triathlete who was born and raised in New Orleans and loves the city so much that she has never lived any where else. On top of her full time job, she coaches her old summer swim team, writes and blogs for nola.com and claimyourjourney.com. She is a wife and mother of 2 active boys who keep her on her toes. So how does she have the time to do all of that and train? She keeps it in the family by includeing her kids in on a lot of her training. Her supportive husband is also a runner and triathlete and her motto is “The family that trains together, stays together.”
Katherine McCoy - Katherine is the Director of Blogs for Claim Your Journey and has helped organize Sunday Runday New Orleans. A former college swimmer and relatively new runner, her favorite distance is the half marathon. Katherine lives in New Orleans, works in legal marketing, and is a 2007 graduate of Tulane University. She also maintains her own website at www.katherineswims.com.
Blair Buras – Blair is a graduate of LSU where she received a BS in dietetics, a minor in dance, and a MS in human nutrition. She is a Registered Dietitian currently residing in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Blair teaches dance at Tari’s School of Dance and for the LSU dance department. She is the choreographer for the New Orleans Saintsations. In addition to writing for Claim Your Journey, she also has her own blog, deliciouslygolden.blogspot.com.
Jennifer Macha - Jennifer Macha is a creative thinker, art director, writer, educator, amateur photographer, triathlete, avid runner, outdoor enthusiast, lover of life, teller of stories and mom to two awesome little dudes. She is also quick-witted, fun-loving, sweet with a touch of sarcasm, realistic with a smidge of optimism, and may or may not have an obsession with social media.
Adam Rabo - Adam Rabo took up running in Jr. High and has been doing it ever since. He enjoys running, biking, hiking, and camping. He is currently working on beating his high school PR’s and setting new ones in other distances. Adam lives in Bossier City with his dog Teddy. You can keep up with him at his blog Running Rabo.
Carley Wahlborg - Carley is a junior at LSU majoring in public relations, from Baton Rouge, LA. As founder of Kappa Delta SoleSisters benefitting Girls on the Run of Greater Baton Rouge, she is passionate about using running as a tool to develop confidence, self-respect and healthy lifestyle choices.
Jonathan Kastner – As a Louisiana native, I am passionate about supporting the communities in my home state. I am a former executive chef with classical training from Kendall College in Chicago. I am also currently enrolled in the Health Coach certification program at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition and recently became a certified running coach by the RRCA. I strive to spread the knowledge that I’ve learned through my experience with food, nutrition and running.
